Victor Mager - Return to School Information - 2024-2025

Hello Victor Mager Families,

We are excited to welcome all new and returning students to school next week!

The information below was shared with families earlier in the week. If you didn't receive it or had trouble with the attachment, below you will find important information for the beginning of the school year for your child/ren. Please note that Opening Day Conferences will take place on Wednesday, September 4 and the first full day of school will be Thursday, September 5. Kindergarten students will have a staggered entry to school and Kindergarten Families have been provided this information.

Student Entrance/Exit

  • All students will have a specified entrance/exit that they will use daily.
  • Students are asked to remain outside of the school until the entry bell rings.
  • Caregivers are asked to meet their child/ren outside of the school at dismissal times.

 Opening Day Conferences - September 4

  • An opportunity for you and your child to come to the school and meet their teacher!
  • To be held on Wednesday, September 4, from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. All conferences will take place in person and are scheduled for 15 minutes. 
  • The Conference Manager System will be used to book conferences and will open on August 27 at 6:00 a.m. and will close on Wednesday, September 4 at 8:00 a.m.

Lunch Program

  • Whenever possible, we would ask that students go home for the lunch hour. However, all students are welcome to stay for a supervised lunch if necessary (lunch fees apply).                                                 ***New this year: Grade 7 and 8 students may stay for lunch.***
  • All students will be expected to come to school with their own lunch. The school will only provide lunches in exceptional/urgent circumstances. Please remember that microwaves will not be available for heating of food.
  • Please remember to send your child with cutlery and a refillable water bottle. 
  • More information about Lunch Program Supervision fees and registration will be sent home in the first few weeks of school. Students may begin staying for lunch on Thursday, September 5.

Student Fees/Supplies

  • All students will be assessed a Student Fee of $40.00. The fee covers most school supplies for students. Please ensure that your child comes to school with a backpack, refillable water bottle, and a pair of indoor runners.

Walking School Bus - Kindergarten to Grade 4

  • We will continue to offer the opportunity for Kindergarten to Grade 4 Students to walk to and from school with the supervision of school staff. More information about registration for Walking School Bus will come home in the first couple of weeks of school.
