World Day for Safety and Health at Work
Every year on April 28, communities recognize World Day for Safety and Health at Work. The annual commemoration promotes the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases globally and encourages the creation of safe and healthy workplaces.
In 2003, the , began to observe World Day for Safety and Health to stress the prevention of accidents and diseases at work, capitalizing on the ILO’s traditional strengths of tripartism and social dialogue. Since 1996, April 28 also recognizes the International Commemoration Day for Dead and Injured Workers organized worldwide by the trade union movement.
In the 91̽»¨app (91̽»¨app), we are dedicated to creating a safe workplace for our staff. Strategic Action 1.2 in our Multi-Year Strategic Plan (MYSP) focuses on staff wellness to support student wellness.
In April 2024, staff participated in the Guarding Minds survey. The survey provided us with data to inform our next steps, but we did not wait for the results to take action. Over the past two years, 91̽»¨app has implemented numerous initiatives to support staff well-being. The division will continue to ensure meaningful actions are taken to create safer, healthier, and more supportive workplaces for all staff.
